Welcome to my Pottery Pages
After enjoying many hobbies over the years, I have found that throwing (turning) pottery is a real joy! Also, as the picture shows, we discovered 'canal boating' in England a few years ago. What a wonderful vacation! Our latest vacation was in Slovakia to visit my long-lost relatives that my grandfather lost touch with 100 years ago!!! It is a beautiful country with very friendly people.
Even more enjoyable is the fact that people are willing to pay me for these products! I am proud to offer them to you as well. Rest assured that you will receive years of satisfaction from your pot or vase and have something truly unique, signed and dated by the artist - me.
I was Manager of Engineering at a large packaging company here in NE Georgia and make these products as a means of enjoying my time off and working off some of the frustration! :o) I am now retired (YEA) so I have plenty of time (once the 'honey do' list is taken care of!) to make hand made pottery. Every piece of pottery is individually made by either me or my wife. I don't use templates or high tech methods of duplicating the pottery. To do that would reduce me to just another machine and then you might as well buy them from China!
Since this pottery is hand made, no two pieces will be exactly alike. That can only be done by machines. Even the glazes will vary from firing to firing in the kiln and even where it is placed in the kiln. I'm not trying to scare you off. I'm just telling the truth that you may not hear from others. That is why I provide a picture and a close up of each piece. I try to show the true colors as best as I can but each monitor may show slightly different colors. With that said, know that I will give you the best that I have to offer. You will NOT be disappointed!
